Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 4.44% or 2.65 points to trade at 62.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 1.93% or 4.9 points to end at 259.4 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 1.88% or 2.60 points to 140.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 3.88% or 1.47 points to trade at 36.43 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 3.46% or 8.70 points to end at 242.90 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 2.30% or 12.0 points to 510.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 299 to 238 and 68 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.13% or 0.07 to $53.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.29% or 0.16 to hit $55.05 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.05 to trade at $1142.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was unchanged 0.00% to 9.7600, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 9.3438.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 102.72.
