Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.61%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 4.63% or 7.00 points to trade at 158.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.80% or 3.5 points to end at 128.3 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was up 2.74% or 5.8 points to 217.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which fell 0.04% or 0.1 points to trade at 262.8 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 0.09% or 0.04 points to end at 46.62 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 0.31% or 1.5 points to 487.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 346 to 207 and 63 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) rose to 3-years highs; up 4.63% or 7.00 to 158.10.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.74% or 0.37 to $50.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.11% or 0.56 to hit $51.11 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.24% or 2.95 to trade at $1244.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.16% to 9.2406, while USD/SEK rose 0.20% to 8.1379.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 93.87.
