Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.36% or 1.15 points to trade at 35.34 at the close. Meanwhile, ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 3.01% or 4.5 points to end at 154.0 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 2.21% or 5.5 points to 254.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 2.61% or 3.40 points to trade at 126.80 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 1.20% or 0.95 points to end at 78.45 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 0.07% or 0.10 points to 140.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 265 to 172 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.03% or 1.45 to $49.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.03% or 1.55 to hit $52.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.44% or 5.10 to trade at $1143.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.29% to 9.2963, while USD/SEK fell 0.12% to 8.2388.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 95.39.
