Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.58% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which rose 2.16% or 2.2 points to trade at 104.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 1.69% or 3.9 points to end at 235.1 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 1.53% or 2.1 points to 139.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 1.11% or 2.00 points to trade at 178.40 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 0.49% or 0.50 points to end at 101.00 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) was down 0.12% or 0.2 points to 173.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 330 to 247 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.77% or 0.35 to $46.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.91% or 0.43 to hit $47.80 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.65 to trade at $1328.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 9.4534, while USD/SEK rose 0.55% to 8.5431.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 96.60.
