Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 8.03% or 8.40 points to trade at 113.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 7.35% or 18.4 points to end at 268.8 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) was up 2.11% or 1.00 points to 48.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 1.28% or 2.40 points to trade at 185.60 at the close. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) declined 1.28% or 1.90 points to end at 146.00 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was down 1.21% or 3.7 points to 301.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 309 to 290 and 51 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.85% or 1.37 to $46.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.88% or 0.94 to hit $49.02 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.16% or 15.65 to trade at $1330.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.12% to 9.4596, while USD/SEK rose 0.30% to 8.4019.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 94.76.
