Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which rose 2.76% or 2.35 points to trade at 87.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) added 2.21% or 2.6 points to end at 120.5 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 1.04% or 0.26 points to 25.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which fell 1.37% or 3.2 points to trade at 231.2 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 1.10% or 0.68 points to end at 61.27 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was down 0.95% or 0.93 points to 96.97.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 268 to 265 and 45 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.48% or 0.23 to $48.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.60% or 0.30 to hit $50.49 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.75 to trade at $1314.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.32% to 9.6049, while USD/SEK fell 0.02% to 8.5688.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 95.68.
