Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 2.11% or 1.22 points to trade at 59.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.39% or 2.40 points to end at 174.80 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 1.13% or 0.41 points to 36.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 1.41% or 0.44 points to trade at 30.86 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.03% or 2.0 points to end at 192.9 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was down 0.68% or 2.0 points to 293.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 373 to 334 and 75 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.41% or 0.44 to 30.86.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.78% or 1.33 to $49.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.52% or 1.28 to hit $52.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1232.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.30% to 9.6848, while USD/SEK fell 0.11% to 8.8202.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 98.75.
