Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 2.94% or 7.8 points to trade at 272.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 2.47% or 2.90 points to end at 120.10 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 2.32% or 3.8 points to 167.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which fell 7.73% or 78.0 points to trade at 931.0 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 7.44% or 3.98 points to end at 49.52 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was down 3.51% or 6.3 points to 173.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 310 to 271 and 84 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) fell to 52-week lows; down 7.44% or 3.98 to 49.52. Shares in Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.32% or 3.8 to 167.3.
Crude oil for March delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $53.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.25% or 0.14 to hit $56.94 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 11.35 to trade at $1219.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.08% to 9.4172, while USD/SEK fell 0.34% to 8.7215.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 99.53.
