Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Diversified Holdings and Construction & Engineering sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.49% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Autodrome PLC (CM:AUTO), which rose 43.72% or 425.90 points to trade at 1400.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) added 25.00% or 450.00 points to end at 2250.00 and Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) was up 23.46% or 475.00 points to 2500.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which fell 12.50% or 0.10 points to trade at 0.80 at the close. Arpico Finance Company PLC (CM:ARPI) declined 12.15% or 23.70 points to end at 171.30 and Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ) was down 10.41% or 260.30 points to 2239.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 132 to 84 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Autodrome PLC (CM:AUTO) rose to all time highs; up 43.72% or 425.90 to 1400.00. Shares in PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) fell to 52-week lows; falling 12.50% or 0.10 to 0.80. Shares in Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 25.00% or 450.00 to 2250.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.27% or 0.12 to $45.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.21% or 0.10 to hit $48.13 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.40% or 4.50 to trade at $1122.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.33% to 213.570, while USD/LKR fell 0.23% to 140.900.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 96.26.
