Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Investment Trust, Services and Construction & Engineering sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 1.14% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Tea Smallholder Factories PLC (CM:TSML), which rose 17.65% or 5.40 points to trade at 36.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) added 17.39% or 0.40 points to end at 2.70 and Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) was up 16.97% or 229.10 points to 1578.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which fell 17.31% or 450.10 points to trade at 2150.00 at the close. Ramboda Falls PLC (CM:RFLL) declined 10.79% or 3.00 points to end at 24.80 and Associated Motor Finance Company PLC (CM:ASSO) was down 9.77% or 41.60 points to 384.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 160 to 47 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Associated Motor Finance Company PLC (CM:ASSO) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.77% or 41.60 to 384.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.96% or 0.44 to $46.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.52% or 0.25 to hit $48.02 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.10% or 13.95 to trade at $1280.35 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.29% to 213.270, while USD/LKR fell 0.11% to 145.960.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 93.37.
