Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which rose 2.68% or 0.585 points to trade at 22.390 at the close. Meanwhile, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) added 1.99% or 0.134 points to end at 6.874 and Viscofan (MC:VIS) was up 1.16% or 0.600 points to 52.430 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were B. Sabadell (MC:SABE), which fell 4.53% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.686 at the close. Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) declined 4.43% or 0.188 points to end at 4.050 and Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) was down 3.33% or 0.136 points to 3.944.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 142 to 36 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.50% or 6.48 to $1278.32 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.17% or 1.12 to hit $50.55 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.16% or 0.66 to trade at $56.13 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.1743, while EUR/GBP rose 0.39% to 0.8853.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 93.41.
