Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX), which rose 6.31% or 0.83 points to trade at 13.99 at the close. Meanwhile, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) added 3.13% or 0.174 points to end at 5.724 and Gamesa (MC:GAM) was up 2.75% or 0.535 points to 19.965 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BBVA (MC:BBVA), which fell 1.39% or 0.087 points to trade at 6.188 at the close. Enagas (MC:ENAG) declined 1.30% or 0.295 points to end at 22.405 and Gas Natural (MC:GAS) was down 1.21% or 0.215 points to 17.605.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 89 to 71 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enagas (MC:ENAG) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.30% or 0.295 to 22.405.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.55% or 6.65 to $1204.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.49% or 0.26 to hit $53.07 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.65% or 0.36 to trade at $55.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.0749, while EUR/GBP fell 0.90% to 0.8505.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 99.89.
