Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX), which rose 4.02% or 0.72 points to trade at 18.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena Aeropuertos SA (MC:AENA) added 1.87% or 3.30 points to end at 179.70 and Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) was up 1.67% or 0.850 points to 51.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Popular (MC:POP), which fell 6.31% or 0.041 points to trade at 0.609 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) declined 3.45% or 0.690 points to end at 19.290 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) was down 2.08% or 0.255 points to 12.030.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 93 to 80 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.43% or 5.43 to $1267.53 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 2.48% or 1.23 to hit $48.43 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.53% or 1.32 to trade at $50.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.38% to 1.1229, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.8712.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 96.97.
