Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which rose 3.99% or 2.000 points to trade at 52.070 at the close. Meanwhile, Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) added 2.54% or 0.47 points to end at 18.76 and Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) was up 2.42% or 0.560 points to 23.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inditex (MC:ITX), which fell 3.60% or 1.190 points to trade at 31.915 at the close. Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) declined 0.71% or 0.038 points to end at 5.316 and Melia Hotels (MC:MEL) was down 0.40% or 0.050 points to 12.350.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 122 to 42 and 24 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.69% or 9.11 to $1323.21 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.55% or 1.17 to hit $47.13 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 3.59% or 1.82 to trade at $52.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1881, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.9216.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 92.83.
