Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS), which rose 2.34% or 0.820 points to trade at 35.840 at the close. Meanwhile, Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) added 2.00% or 0.570 points to end at 29.070 and Acciona (MC:ANA) was up 1.81% or 1.320 points to 74.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA), which fell 3.27% or 0.820 points to trade at 24.280 at the close. Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) declined 1.41% or 0.092 points to end at 6.446 and Banco Santander (MC:SAN) was down 1.08% or 0.048 points to 4.353.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 97 to 62 and 31 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 2.40 to $1202.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.11% or 2.05 to hit $67.89 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 2.75% or 2.00 to trade at $74.63 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8976.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 95.03.
