Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (MC:IDR), which rose 1.90% or 0.245 points to trade at 13.140 at the close. Meanwhile, Acerinox (MC:ACX) added 1.12% or 0.130 points to end at 11.690 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) was up 1.04% or 0.069 points to 6.707 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which fell 2.77% or 0.350 points to trade at 12.300 at the close. Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) declined 1.11% or 0.061 points to end at 5.431 and Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) was down 0.91% or 0.470 points to 51.080.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 83 to 80 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.77% or 0.350 to 12.300.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.13% or 1.66 to $1293.04 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.58% or 1.25 to hit $47.16 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.65% or 0.87 to trade at $51.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1805, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.9227.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.18.
