Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Multi Investment, Building & Construction and Hotels & Tourism sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060), which rose 3.54% or 0.70 points to trade at 20.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) added 2.52% or 0.80 points to end at 32.50 and National Gypsum Company (SE:2090) was up 2.35% or 0.30 points to 13.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alujain Corporation (SE:2170), which fell 9.05% or 1.80 points to trade at 18.10 at the close. Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060) declined 7.64% or 3.50 points to end at 42.30 and Anb Insurance (SE:8011) was down 7.51% or 1.90 points to 23.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 132 to 25 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.89% or 1.00 to $51.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.60% or 0.89 to hit $54.83 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.30% or 3.50 to trade at $1162.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.15% to 3.9920, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7507.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 100.91.
