Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Petrochemicals, Insurance and Cement sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 1.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Halwani Bros (SE:6001), which rose 9.74% or 4.20 points to trade at 47.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Hammadi Co (SE:4007) added 9.52% or 2.60 points to end at 29.90 and National Petrochemical Company (SE:2002) was up 9.19% or 1.25 points to 14.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280), which fell 6.65% or 1.40 points to trade at 19.65 at the close. Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) declined 5.17% or 1.15 points to end at 21.10 and Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270) was down 2.92% or 0.35 points to 11.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 102 to 48 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280) fell to 5-year lows; falling 6.65% or 1.40 to 19.65. Shares in Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.92% or 0.35 to 11.65.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $47.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $49.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.23% or 3.05 to trade at $1320.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.00% to 4.2064, while USD/SAR rose 0.12% to 3.7546.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 95.59.
