Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Multi Investment and Petrochemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which rose 8.75% or 0.70 points to trade at 8.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Knowledge Economic City (SE:4310) added 4.66% or 0.90 points to end at 20.20 and Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8120) was up 4.66% or 0.55 points to 12.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Industrial Development Co. (SE:2130), which fell 4.88% or 0.50 points to trade at 9.75 at the close. ALABDULLATIF CO. (SE:2340) declined 3.54% or 0.55 points to end at 15.00 and Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) was down 3.21% or 1.60 points to 48.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 90 to 64 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Knowledge Economic City (SE:4310) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.66% or 0.90 to 20.20.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.53% or 0.80 to $53.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.69% or 0.93 to hit $56.03 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.66% or 7.85 to trade at $1204.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.91% to 4.0051, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.94% at 100.74.
