Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financial Services, Media & Publishing and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.76% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Steel Pipe Company (TADAWUL:1320), which rose 9.89% or 7.10 points to trade at 78.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Cable Company (TADAWUL:2110) added 9.86% or 6.20 points to end at 69.10 and CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8240) was up 9.06% or 3.10 points to 37.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (TADAWUL:4270), which fell 6.56% or 1.18 points to trade at 16.82 at the close. Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:2230) declined 6.30% or 0.48 points to end at 7.14 and Malath Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8020) was down 6.19% or 1.30 points to 19.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 159 to 122 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Cable Company (TADAWUL:2110) rose to 52-week highs; up 9.86% or 6.20 to 69.10.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.22% or 0.18 to $81.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.19% or 0.16 to hit $85.79 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.16% or 46.60 to trade at $2,207.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.14% to 4.09, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 103.26.
