Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 1.43%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 6.14% or 0.0240 points to trade at 0.4150 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.50% or 0.3200 points to end at 13.1450 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 1.22% or 0.0910 points to 7.5360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 9.44% or 0.9900 points to trade at 9.5000 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 5.69% or 0.0032 points to end at 0.0530 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 3.67% or 0.0910 points to 2.3890.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 39 to 16 and 1 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.26% or 0.12 to $48.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.43% or 0.20 to hit $46.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1105.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.01% to 1.0865, while EUR/GBP rose 1.04% to 0.7138.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 98.17.
