Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 1.96% or 0.0056 points to trade at 0.2915 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 0.25% or 0.0100 points to end at 4.0250 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.20% or 0.0100 points to 5.0400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which fell 1.75% or 0.180 points to trade at 10.080 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 1.32% or 0.0160 points to end at 1.1950 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was down 1.27% or 0.0600 points to 4.6700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 12 and 9 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.98% or 0.66 to $66.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.33% or 0.85 to hit $63.06 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.23% or 16.40 to trade at $1316.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.2241, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8794.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 90.26.
