Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Montepio (LS:MPIO), which rose 6.37% or 0.031 points to trade at 0.518 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 2.97% or 0.0260 points to end at 0.9000 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 2.25% or 0.0960 points to 4.3680 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae (LS:YSO), which fell 1.17% or 0.0110 points to trade at 0.9290 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 0.66% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.3000 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was down 0.47% or 0.0260 points to 5.5330.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 17 and 9 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.83% or 0.39 to $47.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.61% or 0.27 to hit $44.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.82 to trade at $1256.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.40% to 1.1191, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.8753.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 97.17.
