Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Montepio (LS:MPIO), which rose 8.70% or 0.036 points to trade at 0.450 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 1.02% or 0.0630 points to end at 6.2130 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 0.61% or 0.0050 points to 0.8260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 1.04% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.3800 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 0.72% or 0.1000 points to end at 13.8100 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was down 0.29% or 0.0150 points to 5.2330.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.65% or 0.36 to $55.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.45% or 0.24 to hit $53.17 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.45 to trade at $1225.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.0573, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8483.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 101.27.
