Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.28% or 0.0071 points to trade at 0.2234 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.46% or 0.165 points to end at 11.435 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 1.26% or 0.0400 points to 3.2250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which fell 0.68% or 0.0250 points to trade at 3.6700 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 0.62% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.3220 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 0.18% or 0.0250 points to 13.9100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 12 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 3.59% or 1.82 to $52.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.52% or 1.16 to hit $47.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 8.12 to trade at $1322.22 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1873, while EUR/GBP rose 0.21% to 0.9213.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 92.86.
