Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.13% or 0.0083 points to trade at 0.2737 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 1.17% or 0.0950 points to end at 8.2450 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 1.03% or 0.1650 points to 16.2500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which fell 4.26% or 0.400 points to trade at 9.000 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 1.70% or 0.1500 points to end at 8.6900 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 0.62% or 0.0200 points to 3.2000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.17% or 0.0950 to 8.2450.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.08% or 0.06 to $76.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.49% or 0.32 to hit $66.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1304.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1783, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.8809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.59.
