Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 5.83% or 0.0104 points to trade at 0.1889 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 1.28% or 0.0520 points to end at 4.1260 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.28% or 0.0140 points to 5.0990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 3.31% or 0.0760 points to trade at 2.2200 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 1.61% or 0.0820 points to end at 5.0050 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was down 1.45% or 0.0050 points to 0.3390.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 1.48% or 0.81 to $54.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.43% or 0.75 to hit $51.66 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 10.60 to trade at $1283.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.0711, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.8379.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 99.70.
