Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP), which rose 2.40% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.98 at the close. Meanwhile, TVN SA (WA:TVN) added 2.29% or 0.38 points to end at 17.00 and Bank Zachodni WBK SA (WA:BZW) was up 0.47% or 1.75 points to 370.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which fell 6.97% or 1.88 points to trade at 25.10 at the close. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) declined 3.08% or 2.15 points to end at 67.60 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was down 3.02% or 0.48 points to 15.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 328 to 248 and 106 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.80% or 1.60 to $58.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.20% or 1.43 to hit $66.06 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.40 to trade at $1209.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.40% to 4.0122, while USD/PLN fell 1.26% to 3.5932.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.32% at 94.92.
