Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Energy and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 2.68% or 0.99 points to trade at 37.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) added 1.77% or 0.10 points to end at 5.76 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was up 1.73% or 1.00 points to 58.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP), which fell 6.36% or 4.20 points to trade at 61.80 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 2.81% or 0.36 points to end at 12.45 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was down 2.78% or 0.69 points to 24.11.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 321 to 240 and 99 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP) fell to all time lows; losing 6.36% or 4.20 to 61.80. Shares in Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) fell to all time lows; losing 2.81% or 0.36 to 12.45.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.32% or 0.80 to $59.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.25% or 0.81 to hit $64.30 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1179.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.33% to 4.1463, while USD/PLN rose 0.17% to 3.6774.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 94.83.
