Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Energy, Media and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 2.94% or 2.50 points to trade at 87.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Synthos SA (WA:SNS) added 1.82% or 0.080 points to end at 4.480 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) was up 1.63% or 0.13 points to 8.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE), which fell 4.04% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.610 at the close. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) declined 3.74% or 0.30 points to end at 7.72 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was down 2.93% or 0.28 points to 9.28.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 302 to 223 and 208 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.84% or 1.31 to $47.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.57% or 1.24 to hit $49.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.90% or 10.60 to trade at $1189.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.18% to 4.4278, while USD/PLN rose 0.39% to 4.1871.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 101.52.
