Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Information Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were mBank SA (WA:MBK), which rose 2.17% or 10.00 points to trade at 470.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) added 1.66% or 0.08 points to end at 4.89 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was up 1.15% or 0.43 points to 37.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 5.60% or 415.00 points to trade at 7000.00 at the close. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) declined 2.62% or 1.83 points to end at 67.96 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was down 2.20% or 4.10 points to 181.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 309 to 271 and 91 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.44% or 2.03 to $60.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.63% or 1.75 to hit $68.19 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.72% or 8.60 to trade at $1195.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.08% to 4.0331, while USD/PLN fell 0.27% to 3.6055.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 95.21.
