Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which rose 4.17% or 2.04 points to trade at 51.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energa SA (WA:ENGP) added 2.40% or 0.21 points to end at 8.95 and Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) was up 2.21% or 1.15 points to 53.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which fell 3.94% or 0.39 points to trade at 9.52 at the close. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) declined 3.87% or 2.59 points to end at 64.27 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was down 2.70% or 0.51 points to 18.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 230 to 216 and 208 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.07% or 0.03 to $45.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.19% or 0.09 to hit $46.49 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.75 to trade at $1355.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.41% to 4.4156, while USD/PLN fell 0.20% to 3.9989.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 96.43.
