Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Developers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 3.70% or 2.47 points to trade at 69.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) added 3.42% or 1.05 points to end at 31.75 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was up 2.07% or 2.32 points to 114.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which fell 2.29% or 0.15 points to trade at 6.41 at the close. Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) declined 1.71% or 2.29 points to end at 131.53 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) was down 1.36% or 0.92 points to 66.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 254 to 241 and 199 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.96% or 0.44 to $46.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.13% or 0.54 to hit $48.40 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 8.51 to trade at $1270.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.38% to 4.1820, while USD/PLN fell 0.19% to 3.7361.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 97.27.
