Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy, Banking and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 2.76% or 6.20 points to trade at 230.90 at the close. Meanwhile, LPP SA (WA:LPPP) added 2.63% or 173.05 points to end at 6748.00 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was up 2.60% or 1.89 points to 74.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which fell 4.96% or 3.25 points to trade at 62.25 at the close. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) declined 4.00% or 0.44 points to end at 10.56 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was down 2.88% or 0.34 points to 11.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 307 to 237 and 194 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.62% or 0.80 to $50.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.10% or 0.58 to hit $53.12 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.25 to trade at $1247.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.28% to 4.2142, while USD/PLN rose 0.09% to 3.9288.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 100.01.
