Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Chemicals and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which rose 2.46% or 0.60 points to trade at 25.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Zachodni WBK SA (WA:BZW) added 2.26% or 7.00 points to end at 317.00 and mBank SA (WA:MBK) was up 2.24% or 7.75 points to 353.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 4.09% or 245.25 points to trade at 5754.75 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 3.62% or 2.50 points to end at 66.50 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was down 3.32% or 0.090 points to 2.620.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 286 to 233 and 204 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.35% or 0.68 to $49.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.48% or 0.76 to hit $50.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.78% or 9.85 to trade at $1273.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.16% to 4.3226, while USD/PLN rose 0.12% to 3.9710.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 98.76.
