Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 3.27% or 3.05 points to trade at 96.30 at the close. Meanwhile, PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) added 1.42% or 0.75 points to end at 53.55 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) was up 0.97% or 0.64 points to 66.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which fell 13.72% or 4.73 points to trade at 29.75 at the close. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) declined 4.79% or 0.59 points to end at 11.72 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was down 4.58% or 0.60 points to 12.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 310 to 193 and 175 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) fell to 5-year lows; down 13.72% or 4.73 to 29.75.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.94% or 0.54 to $56.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.69% or 0.44 to hit $63.49 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 11.09 to trade at $1276.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.13% to 4.2260, while USD/PLN fell 0.24% to 3.6256.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.32.
