Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Information Technology and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.68% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which rose 3.22% or 2.40 points to trade at 76.99 at the close. Meanwhile, PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) added 3.13% or 2.00 points to end at 65.90 and Synthos SA (WA:SNS) was up 2.97% or 0.160 points to 5.550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 5.26% or 364.75 points to trade at 6575.25 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 2.62% or 0.90 points to end at 33.50 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was down 2.27% or 0.27 points to 11.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 295 to 236 and 164 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.90% or 0.44 to $48.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.76% or 0.39 to hit $51.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 0.98 to trade at $1256.48 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.48% to 4.2050, while USD/PLN fell 0.56% to 3.8546.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 98.98.
