Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Information Technology, Oil & Gas and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP), which rose 2.31% or 1.30 points to trade at 57.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) added 1.88% or 0.69 points to end at 37.30 and Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) was up 1.75% or 0.11 points to 6.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 2.04% or 162.00 points to trade at 7788.00 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) declined 1.51% or 1.95 points to end at 127.00 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was down 1.45% or 1.20 points to 81.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 356 to 272 and 76 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.43% or 0.26 to $60.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.80% or 0.54 to hit $66.28 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1225.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.83% to 4.0744, while USD/PLN rose 1.75% to 3.5920.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.80% at 94.04.
