Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 4.89% or 2.64 points to trade at 56.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) added 2.42% or 1.17 points to end at 49.61 and Synthos SA (WA:SNS) was up 1.92% or 0.080 points to 4.240 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which fell 1.82% or 1.11 points to trade at 59.90 at the close. CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) declined 1.43% or 0.60 points to end at 41.40 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was down 1.17% or 0.030 points to 2.530.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 284 to 247 and 168 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.66% or 1.17 to $45.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.07% or 0.95 to hit $46.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.00% or 13.15 to trade at $1331.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.12% to 4.2965, while USD/PLN fell 0.21% to 3.8497.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 95.77.
