Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Information Technology and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE), which rose 2.27% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.160 at the close. Meanwhile, Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) added 2.10% or 1.54 points to end at 75.00 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was up 1.93% or 0.21 points to 11.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were mBank SA (WA:MBK), which fell 4.58% or 19.30 points to trade at 401.70 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) declined 1.07% or 1.40 points to end at 129.58 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was down 0.81% or 0.09 points to 11.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 310 to 278 and 171 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.80% or 0.97 to $52.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.85% or 1.04 to hit $55.32 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.26% or 15.75 to trade at $1234.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.19% to 4.2904, while USD/PLN rose 0.52% to 4.0814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 102.11.
