Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Services and Holding Firms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which rose 6.92% or 4.400 points to trade at 67.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM) added 3.65% or 0.210 points to end at 5.960 and First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) was up 0.40% or 0.10 points to 25.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 5.95% or 6.9000 points to trade at 109.0000 at the close. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 5.48% or 0.300 points to end at 5.170 and GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) was down 4.07% or 66.000 points to 1554.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 135 to 58 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.95% or 6.9000 to 109.0000.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.45 to $1351.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.32% or 0.55 to hit $41.16 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.16% or 0.51 to trade at $43.54 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.03% to 7.0478, while USD/PHP rose 0.02% to 46.789.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 95.82.
