Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Holding Firms, Industrials and Property sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Alliance Globa (PS:AGI), which rose 5.22% or 0.800 points to trade at 16.120 at the close. Meanwhile, Gt Capital Hol (PS:GTCAP) added 2.77% or 35.000 points to end at 1300.000 and Energy Develop (PS:EDC) was up 2.73% or 0.150 points to 5.650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC), which fell 3.91% or 0.500 points to trade at 12.300 at the close. Aboitiz Equity (PS:AEV) declined 1.91% or 1.100 points to end at 56.600 and Universal Robi (PS:URC) was down 1.77% or 3.400 points to 188.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 110 to 75 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.18% or 2.00 to $1113.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.54% or 0.69 to hit $45.78 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.94% or 0.46 to trade at $48.83 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.03% to 7.3525, while USD/PHP rose 0.01% to 46.733.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 96.48.
