Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Holding Firms and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 1.09%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron (PS:PCOR), which rose 3.94% or 0.300 points to trade at 7.910 at the close. Meanwhile, Jg Summit (PS:JGS) added 3.62% or 2.500 points to end at 71.000 and Globe Telecom (PS:GLO) was up 3.21% or 80.000 points to 2576.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Phi Long Dis T (PS:TEL), which fell 1.41% or 36.00 points to trade at 2518.00 at the close. Bk Of Phi Isla (PS:BPI) declined 1.29% or 1.10 points to end at 84.60 and Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) was down 1.20% or 2.300 points to 191.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 130 to 51 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bk Of Phi Isla (PS:BPI) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.29% or 1.10 to 84.60.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.46% or 5.20 to $1127.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.19% or 0.51 to hit $42.05 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.53% or 0.73 to trade at $46.83 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.37% to 7.3137, while USD/PHP rose 0.13% to 46.730.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 95.50.
