Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Banking & Financials and Mining & Oil sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron (PS:PCOR), which rose 6.12% or 0.470 points to trade at 8.100 at the close. Meanwhile, Universal Robi (PS:URC) added 2.83% or 5.400 points to end at 196.500 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) was up 2.15% or 0.100 points to 4.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alliance Globa (PS:AGI), which fell 2.18% or 0.500 points to trade at 22.200 at the close. Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM) declined 1.99% or 0.190 points to end at 9.400 and Lt Group (PS:LTG) was down 1.85% or 0.280 points to 14.880.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 95 to 84 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.10 to $1094.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.24% or 0.10 to hit $43.77 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.07 to trade at $49.16 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.03% to 7.3772, while USD/PHP fell 0.03% to 45.810.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 97.75.
