Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE), which rose 5.13% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.410 at the close. Meanwhile, Enersur SA (LM:ENE) added 0.69% or 0.050 points to end at 7.350 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was up 0.23% or 0.030 points to 12.830 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Relapasa (LM:REL), which fell 5.71% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.132 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 4.89% or 0.090 points to end at 1.750 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 4.60% or 0.040 points to 0.830.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 27 to 7 and 1 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.85% or 0.86 to $47.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.44% or 0.71 to hit $50.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.01% or 12.00 to trade at $1175.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.32% to 3.2435, while EUR/PEN fell 0.75% to 3.6689.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 94.76.
