Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 5.17% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 3.57% or 0.100 points to end at 2.900 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 3.23% or 0.020 points to 0.640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which fell 3.64% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.318 at the close. Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) declined 2.32% or 0.130 points to end at 5.470 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 1.95% or 0.050 points to 2.510.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 11 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.18% or 0.61 to $52.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.62% or 0.34 to hit $55.23 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1255.95 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.03% to 3.2465, while EUR/PEN fell 0.47% to 3.4422.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 101.08.
