Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 4.58% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.480 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 3.36% or 0.050 points to end at 1.540 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 3.33% or 0.020 points to 0.620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which fell 4.54% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.315 at the close. Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) declined 4.00% or 0.050 points to end at 1.200 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 3.58% or 0.460 points to 12.400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 6 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 4.68% or 2.22 to $45.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $46.55 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.41% or 5.60 to trade at $1361.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2810, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6379.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 96.33.
