Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 4.38% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.429 at the close. Meanwhile, Milpo (LM:MIL) added 3.77% or 0.120 points to end at 3.300 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was up 2.56% or 0.060 points to 2.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 6.86% or 0.070 points to trade at 0.950 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 6.45% or 0.770 points to end at 11.170 and Panoro (LM:PML) was down 3.45% or 0.005 points to 0.140.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Atacocha (LM:ATB) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 4.38% or 0.018 to 0.429. Shares in Milpo (LM:MIL) rose to 3-years highs; up 3.77% or 0.120 to 3.300.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.18% or 0.60 to $51.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.74% or 0.40 to hit $54.29 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.96% or 11.30 to trade at $1161.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.07% to 3.4065, while EUR/PEN fell 1.95% to 3.5989.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.49% at 101.61.
