Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Electricity and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 7.50% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.258 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 7.01% or 0.019 points to end at 0.290 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 5.79% or 0.390 points to 7.120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ), which fell 5.62% or 0.590 points to trade at 9.900 at the close. Edegel (LM:EDE) declined 3.58% or 0.100 points to end at 2.690 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) was down 2.78% or 0.030 points to 1.050.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 6 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Relapasa (LM:REL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.50% or 0.018 to 0.258.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.44% or 0.17 to $38.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.12% or 0.05 to hit $40.07 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1233.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3155, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8323.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 94.65.
