Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Electricity and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which rose 7.14% or 0.270 points to trade at 4.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) added 5.41% or 0.020 points to end at 0.390 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 3.70% or 0.005 points to 0.140 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 3.53% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.164 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 1.96% or 0.010 points to end at 0.500 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 1.29% or 0.002 points to 0.153.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.74% or 0.34 to $46.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.09% or 0.54 to hit $50.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1182.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2330, while EUR/PEN rose 0.22% to 3.6967.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.49% at 94.45.
